Have I mentioned that I have three children, ages 5 and under? It’s a bit harder these days finding time to add newest work to the site, but here’s a recent wedding – Lydia and Andrew on the bride’s family farm, beneath a very old and beautiful pecan tree. It was a lovely day and a lovely event with plenty of lovely people.

Wedding / Downtown Nashville
Downtown Nashville Wedding / Nashville, TN
This was probably my favorite ever way to celebrate a New Year’s Eve, at a wedding ceremony at the beautiful Christ Church Cathedral and midnight countdown reception at Union Station.
In keeping with the theme of celebrations at beautiful, historic downtown Nashville buildings, Gracie and Win had their rehearsal dinner the night before at the Hermitage Hotel, where, I like to note, my grandparents stayed after their own wedding in 1945.
The lovely wedding day:

Belle Meade Plantation Wedding / Nashville, TN
This was my first time photographing at Belle Meade Plantation and it was not a disappointment. Obviously the venue was lovely, but as luck would have it the couple was even nicer. I was also lucky enough to be able to work with the excellent Emily Kennedy of Kennedy Occasions and the all-time greatest wedding vendor, Amanda Jerkins (she did the flowers). An outstanding day indeed.

Wedding – Homestead Manor / Thompson Station, TN
I’m grateful to Emily and Chris for asking me to be a part of their lovely wedding day at the historic Homestead Manor in Thompson Station.

Family Session – Dallas, TX
On occasion, this fun sequence of events happens: Step 1. Two great people get married and I am lucky enough to photograph their wedding. Step 2. Same great people have a baby and I am lucky enough to photograph their newly-born child. It’s a genuine pleasure that my job allows me to be a part of various milestones of really lovely people’s lives. Congrats Leia and Tim!

Nashville Wedding / Skinner Chapel
I am grateful to have been a part of this small destination wedding of Mollie and Brian from Kansas City. My time with them was shorter than normal, but it was no less lovely and they were both incredibly kind and generous during our afternoon together.
Flowers by (my favorite) Amanda Jerkins Design and wedding was planned/coordinated by Modern Vintage Events.
Wedding – EAST NASHVILLE, TN
I was honored to photograph the wedding of two East Nashville artists, Jessica and Adam, in the back yard of their East Nashville home.
